- Thoroughly wash the skin where the insect was bitten
- Calamine or Calendula lotion to help stop itching
- Apply ice packs to relieve pain and swelling
- If an arm or leg is bitten, rest your child with the limb raised up
- In case of bee stings try to rub the sting off

- Do not entertain you children to stand or play near pools of stagnant water
- Use insect repellents
- Arrange insect screens to windows
